The Look
The Red River buckle traces back to original Bohlin work created for Red River, commissioned for John Wayne and members of the cast. Its form reflects Bohlin’s long-standing tradition of Western design, where function and ornament are brought together through hand fabrication.
Defined by its clean field and framed border, the design was intended as a foundation for custom work. The surface is ideally suited for brands, initials, or historic Bohlin motifs, allowing each piece to carry a personal mark within a form rooted in Western film history.
A twisted rope border frames the composition, adding depth and definition to the buckle’s form. The Bohlin brand is presented within the field as a classic example of this tradition, while the design remains adaptable for custom engraving or the addition of a personal brand.
